Nan in Mass
Have you tried this? Did it work?
Harriet Vane
Are you referring to foreign language or something else??
Nan in Mass
I would like to set up some conversation practice for my son and I thought perhaps skype would be a time-efficient way of doing this, since it wouldn't involve driving back and forth. regentrude
I use Skype a lot to just talk. I don't see how it matters whether it's English or a foreign language - you just need somebody who is willing to converse in the language, and then skype with that person. It's free computer to computer, very inexpensive computer to phone. Each person needs to make a (free) Skype account.
Nan in Mass
Thank you, regentrude and Strider. We've set it up and are going to give it a try. This would be amazingly easy if we can get it to work! Nan

Joan in GE
My daughter uses Sype to do her OSU speaking practice.... Before that she was using video chat on Gmail which works just as well - both parties need to have Gmail... Joan
