if you were evacuating the Outer Banks and didn't want to go home...

where would you go with 3 dc ages 5 to 10.

Home is DC suburbs.

Would you go west? How far? What is there to do? Family is packed for beach, so they don't have tent or hiking gear.

How far inland do you have to go to not expect rain from the hurricane?

Is Dollywood (never been there) a possibility?

Well, Raleigh is still expecting 40-50 mph gusts and up to 2 inches of rain. And that is if she doesn't jog west again. If she goes east, it will prob be less.

Dollywood should be fine in terms of weather. Even somewhere a couple hours west of Raleigh should be good if you don't want to go as far as Tennessee.
