mirth
I saw this new article in National Hog Farmer: The Race to 30 pigs/mated female/year So the new glass ceiling is 30 piglets/year vs 20 per sow? When I wrote another thread on just pork as a meat product, a couple of people said that in current hog farming conditions, the animals are almost living on top of each other. How are they going to fit 33% more, unless it is trivial to add pig rearing space or build bunk pens? Btw, if you did respond to the other pork thread and are one of the people who gets sick eating pork, can you say if you are also sensitive to OTC drugs or caffeine -- as in, does it take less for you to get the same effect some other people? Pamela H in Texas
I have no idea what you are talking about; but I wanted to comment as I found the "PC-pork content" hilarious :) ETA: I re-read your post and it was much more easily understood. Guess I just needed to post about the PC first :)
celticmom
I did not respond to the earlier thread but pork does not agree with my digestive system and I cannot consume caffeine at all. I am also very sensitive to OTC products.
