genny
It appears to be a pretty comprehensive program and we're really enjoying using it. I've been wondering at what reading level dd will be at when she finishes it??? Also curious to find out how long it typically takes to go through it (I know every child is different but just curious approx. how long it should take)? Does anyone here ever go over it more than once with you LO?
ScoutTN
We're on p. 198 and we started last year about this time. DD reads books labeled second and third grade easily. Milly-Molly-Mandy, magic tree house, American Girl books, third grade Pathway readers etc. For school she is reading books from the second and third grade literature lists from VP. This is our first time through so nothing else to compare to!
ocfb16
I have a question to go off of this one if anyone can answer. We just finished Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons and my daughter is now reading level 1 books very well. Is Phonics Pathways something that would build off of this or is it basically the same thing teaching the basics of letter sounds and putting words together? momofabcd
Phonics Pathways is much more comprehensive than 100 ez lessons. PP is a great follow up to cement what dc knows and be taught everything else needed for a good phonics foundation. I think PP ends about a 4th grade level as opposed to 100 ez's 2nd grade level.
