lovemy9kids
I'm making schedules for my kids in a word doc. but I don't know how to put a check box next to their assignments. I'm sure this is simple, but I can't figure it out. Could someone help me.......please? :001_smile: Thanks! Renee
cloversandlions
Select INSERT from the topmost toolbar, and then select symbol. I have Word for Mac, so I'm sure it's a little different from there, but that should get you to where you need to be. :)
blondeviolin
I use the shapes>square function. Alternatively, you could make a table and place the task in one wide column and make those lines invisible. Then have a narrow column with the borders visible. That would make a bigger box... Dana
You can also do bullets and change the look of the bullet to an open box.
Suzq
One way I have done that is by Inserting a Symbol. I found a little box in the wingdings font. I inserted it and then copied and pasted it where I wanted the boxes. There may be an easier way that I do not know about.
RahRah
You can also do bullets and change the look of the bullet to an open box. That's what I do....once you do it once, you can then cut & paste also!
babysparkler
I change the font to webdings and use letter "o"... which makes a check box.
Jayne J
I just use a capital O in a larger font. It's not technically a checkbox but it does the trick.
