I had a mix of the fancy sewn thick ones & then the liners etc. But I also had a big stack of flats which I either folded myself or used as liners inside the others. I had the fancy wool wraps & the waterproof outer thingies... I loved using pins. That's all I used, mind you that's all that was available back when I was doing diapers.
