Lisa R.
I've been looking into this denomination. I'm wondering if anyone here has personal experiences being involved in one of these churches.
annabanana1992
We currently attend one. Feel free to PM with questions!
tntgoodwin
I don't, but I wish there was one near me!
MelAR05
Our famliy visited one in Virginia when my husband was out there for a couple of months for a job. We have some dear friends that have gone there for years and they love it. They have told us that the SGM is currently going through some changes but I don't know any specifics. No personal experiences though other than visiting a few times.
JumpyTheFrog
I have no experience with one, but on a few blogs I visit, people have mentioned websites for SGM "survivors." Some of the commenters have mentioned how legalistic, and even spiritual abusive, their former churches were. I don't know if they are all that way, but it's worth looking into. Margo out of lurking
We're currently attending one part time. How's that for non-committal? ;)
LNC
My family has been a member for 17 years of a Sovereign Grace ministries local church. God is doing a work, and I have faith that it will result in good changes in the end. It is painful for now though. These leaders/public figures are just people we love too. (Not taking sides, I'm talking about everyone involved). They are responding in humility and integrity and involving the wider body of Christ for help. Just wanted to give the perpective of a long time member. Edited July 29, 2011 by LNC
