DawnM
Update: Her entire nail came out from the root! I thought it was just a chunk of skin gone, but in looking closer, the entire nail is GONE. UGH. Dawn Edited July 28, 2011 by DawnM
shanvan
This happened to my Border Collie recently. For a while I checked it daily and used peroxide on it because it was bleeding after the nail first came off. Once I saw it was healing well, I just left it alone. It's growing back normally now. I just couldn't see going to the vet about it unless it was infected or not growing back normally. Shannon
Momling
My dog had a broken nail last week. She was limping and I took her to the vet who removed the whole thing and prescribed a course of antibiotics (it was stinky). She was fine as soon as the nail was gone. DawnM
Oh, I didn't think of peroxide. I will have DH administer that when he gets home. Thanks, Dawn This happened to my Border Collie recently.
