laughing lioness
If you were going to do a overview of World History in one year for eled what reading/read-alouds would be must reads for your kiddo? I have a rising 3rd and 6th grader- both history buffs.
happygrrl
We'll be doing Brimwood press materials; even though I have not seen them I have heard glowing reviews from people I know. My intention is to use the Sonlight alt 7 list and have the books in a book basket, then discuss using WTM questions. I also plan to use the books that we missed in LCC. I am curious to see what others list as "must reads" (and glad to know I am not the only one attempting a survey course this year!). Karen in CO
Sonlight has two one-year history programs. I used what used to be core 6+7 with my ds when I first brought him home from ps. You could use the lists for those cores as a place to start. I'd make sure include Greek, Roman and Norse myths, plus some Shakespeare.
