Psychology book recommendation.

Recommended Posts

My 13 yo dd wants to try an Intro to Psychology book/course. I'm leaning toward "Psychology For Dummies" since it's lighter reading than a textbook. but am looking for a better idea if there is one. Any suggestions?

Also, can/should we count this as a high school credit?

My 16yo dd just finished "Homeschool Psych", which is a newly published book.

You can get more info & email the author at

http://www.homeschoolpsych.com

It is intended as a bridge course for Christian homeschoolers to be prepared for college Psych 101. It has a study guide, related internet links, project/essay suggestions. It is one-semester high school course, if you do all the optional activities.

It was not overly difficult, so I believe your 13yo could handle it, maybe with a bit of help from you.
