She's very social and is very open and positive personality-wise, but when she's nervous about being in trouble, she smiles and giggles (sometimes it's clear that she's embarrassed to be smiling). She just can't control it. Note that this does not happen every time she's nervous. Once I understood that she wasn't doing it on purpose, I stopped being upset by it.
