creekmom
I bought an older edition of Foundations for a minimal price, but I'm wondering if the newest edition has some worthwhile improvements/extras? I'm not part of CC, but I do like the Foundations guide for our memory work. Is it worth spending more $ to get the newest edition? BTW, I have the 2nd edition. Mommamia
I have the 2nd edition as well. From what I saw, there are a few updates that you can print off (from the CC site). I may be wrong, but I don't think there are major differences. I do know that the layout is different.
i.love.lucy
Nah, nothing that's a big deal enough for you if you are using it at home. Enjoy!
yvonne
I would use what you have. If you find you want the 3rd edition during the year, you can always get it then. I had the 2nd ed. the first year & just borrowed a 3rd edition & made notations of the differences. There weren't many significant differences, iirc. In fact, I liked the 2nd ed. bec. it had page references to the Everything You Need to Know About (Science, World History...) that correspond to the weekly memory work. 3rd ed. does not include those. I loaned my 2nd ed. to one of the tutors last year and it seemed to work just fine for him. If you are part of a CC group, the director can get you a list of the differences between the 2nd & 3rd edition.
