mhaddon
So after talking to ds about math he told me likes rightstart but wants a workbook too. We will finish a this summer. What would work well with rs?
Aurelia
MEP or Math Mammoth.
Mommy22alyns
This isn't going to be popular (most people will tell you Singapore), but I used CLE with Rebecca along with RS C and I thought they worked well together. CLE is a completely different approach, but I liked that she got more pencil work in and some speed drills/flashcard work.
mhaddon
What is MEP? He did not like cle we have it actually. I thought Singapore with it was way too much?
Crimson Wife
Maybe just one component of Singapore like IP or CWP? My DS is currently doing RS B and I'm planning to add in Singapore IP 1A in the fall.
mhaddon
Would horizons be too much?
black_midori
We're doing Math Mammoth 1ab & 2ab with RS A & B, and they seem to connect fairly well.
Aloha2U
My vote would be for Math Mammoth... and/or possibly Singapore IPs and CWPs later on down the road.
Aurelia
MEP it's a British math programme (free!) based on Hungarian methods. We used year 1 last year and I really liked how they started off working with inequalities and lots of mental stretching. I'll probably use some of it to supplement the MM we're using this year, I like it so much. The reason I switched is I needed something that was really simple to teach so my mom could do it if necessary.
mhaddon
Oh boy now I can't decide between mm or MEP!
