Pam L in Mid Tenn
she wants to attend this fall. We went to an orientation session for MTSU last week. She registered for classes. She "seemed" happy and excited. Last night she comes up and asked me to "do the math" comparing colleges. How far will her financial aid go? Gasoline costs? Dorm costs? Apartment prices? The bottom line is that she can get the exact same general education classes at half the cost at Columbia State. Columbia State even has agreements with most (all maybe?) major state universities to accept all transferred credits. Also, she will not have to quit her current job and find a new job at MTSU. Now we are in a rush to get transcripts, applications, etc. in to Columbia State so she can register for classes before the good ones are filled.:tongue_smilie: Anyone else have a student with a last minute change of plans?:tongue_smilie:
MicheleinMN
I'm still trying to convince my son (and maybe myself) that he should attend the local (45 minutes away) community college full-time this fall. Not exactly a change of plans, but nothing solid yet either.
