sixtimemomma
Trying to figure out what Science to choose for an 8th grader that is not that math savvy. I would like to use a curriculum that includes great simple lab activities and a textbook that is not BORING! Any ideas? Oh BTW we are looking at Physical Science. The choices I have considered but am not limited to are: Abeka LifePacs Elemental Science
Ellie
I used 4th, 9th and 10th grade Alpha Omega science. Hated all of them. I'd have to vote for ABeka.
Tohru
If it were around when my ds was younger, we would've went with Elemental Science. It looks fantastic. I loved the Living Learning Books series, although they don't have Physical Science available and it's also for elementary ages. We've tried Lifepacs and thought that they were very dull, but they did cover everything thoroughly. However I doubt there was much retention because of the bore factor. ETA: For 8th grade we did Rainbow Science. Edited May 25, 2011 by jadedone80
