fj62
I'm admittedly a whimp and hate dr.s offices altogether. I'm going to be evaluated tomorrow and I think dentist will offer to pull it. Could someone inform me on how big a deal/or not this is? TIA
The Girls' Mom
Has the tooth fully emerged or is it impacted in some way? Mine weren't impacted, they just didn't really want to come all the way up. I had mine pulled in the dentist's office with just novocaine. It was a breeze, and I had no trouble at all. (but the sounds are pretty gross...lol)
mommybee
Mine came in completely and I have had one pulled just by the dentist. I will say I think it hurts more afterward than I remember a regular tooth hurting. Could just be that it takes me so many shots to get numb that I thought I wouldn't need any pain meds and boy was I wrong!
KidsHappen
I just had a cracked molar pulled on the 1st. I had it done at the dentist office using only novacaine. The tooth did not want to come out. It had to be scored, broken in pieces and then the pieces still had to be wrestled out. The procedure itself wasn't very difficult but healing has been a b*tch. I am still having pain but I don't know that it would have been any different or better with a surgeon. Generally speaking, if the tooth is not impacted or otherwise obstructed and the roots are not too deep it should be a simple procedure.
