When what you see doesn't match what you hear

The police coming to the door isn't standard everywhere. I had several bad neighbors at our old house and had to call the police too many times. Never did they come to my door at all. Most of the time, I never knew what they found or did in response to the call. The only exception was when we were working directly with the community liaison officers to report the drug dealing across the street. With those neighbors, the officers kept us informed via email, even on things we weren't directly involved in.

That's good to know. Maybe if you decide to contact them, you should ask that they not come to your home because you don't want to take a chance on being identified as the person who called....
