TrixieB
I haven't seen the SOTW vol. 4 Activity Guide in person. I have been told that it doesn't have any activities -- that its main purpose is to teach outlining. Does the vol. 4 AG have suggested reading lists and activities like the other volumes of AGs contain? Or is it really just outlining? BTW, my dc don't enjoy coloring pages so I don't mind if it is lacking those.
lmrich
It has book suggestions, questions, map work, coloring pages, recipes, craft ideas. It is exactly like the others with the addition of the outline; it is a bonus!
boscopup
It definitely has activities. It looks like it's labeled a bit differently. For example, it will say "Cooking project" or "Science project" or "Writing project", etc. there are lots of activities and crafts though. It just looks like (from a quick glance) it has more stuff that an older child would find useful. (I've only used SOTW1 AG, but I have all 4 here since I got them used as a set)
TrixieB
Thank you both! My current plan is to use SOTW vol. 4 with my rising 8th grader in the fall. It sounds like the AG is worth the investment.
