There are weekly vocab words that we define & practice spelling...do I need to add spelling program too? If so, what recommendations? Ravin Posted March 1, 2011 Share Posted March 1, 2011 I'd say it depends on how well she's spelling. Mine will be starting Webster's as soon as we're done with her phonics program. She needs a good deal of explicit instruction in this area...she doesn't like writing unless she KNOWS the word is spelled right (perfectionist) and isn't so hot at guessing correctly.
