JVA
Being a former Seattle-ite and my dh was a Boeing employee for 20 years- this is good to hear....although, I wonder if it will be built in Seattle or assembled with pieces from many plants. I hope it benefits many cities with employment :001_smile:

Slartibartfast
Boeing also has a large facility in Witchita...I would think it would be built there or in Seattle.
Crissy
I hope it benefits many cities with employment :001_smile: :iagree: I am curious to know how those 50,000 jobs (both direct and indirect, according to the short piece above) will be distributed around the country. lamamaloca
Boeing also has a large facility in Witchita...I would think it would be built there or in Seattle. Most of that facility was sold, although Boeing does still own pieces of it. The other portion is now a separate company, although they do still mostly just supply Boeing. Wichita could use some jobs, (Where couldn't?) so we'd be thrilled if they were built here.
....
Good for you guys! My husband actually is in the aeronautical industry (not going to say where), but that's awesome! I hope new jobs are created from this. There are lots of people looking for work right now.
