Kidlit
This week's Read Aloud Thursday (a weekly meme I host on my blog) is about ancient Egypt. I thought some folks here on the K-8 board might benefit, so here's a link.
SEGway
May I just say, I love your blog! I clicked through to find out what you recommended for 1st grade Egyptian read alouds, and I ended up subscribing to your RSS feed. It's great stuff. :001_smile: Thank you! myfatherslily
Thanks for sharing! We actually have Egyptian Diary from the library right now. We haven't had a chance to read it yet, though DD has enjoyed looking through it several times.

Rivka
Thanks for sharing your suggestions! We also really, really like Ms. Frizzle's Adventures: Ancient Egypt. I know that some people try to stay away from cartoon formats, but this book had a tremendous amount of information, presented in a very engaging way. My daughter often chose to study it on her own.
