srainbow
I'm a little embarrassed to mention using SOTW as a spine for high school history, but history is something we have always done altogether, and it's working well for us. We just switched from having a big wall timeline to individual notebooks, and that has been very good for making connections. I just wanted to chime in and say I plan to use SOTW book 4 this year with my 9th and 6th grader and now maybe I don't have to be as embarrassed. This is our first time through her series and I like it and want to complete it. My 9th grader will also be doing mucho reading on great books list. I hope to add more writing. Boy is that a struggle to have them do writing across the subjects. I struggle with it. Anyhow, My younger is doing an IEW writing Intensive which helps some and I believe my older daughter will be taking a writing on literature class online this year. We'll see. Koerarmoca
No high schoolers here yet, my oldest will be in 8th so just lurking on this thread to see what is out their. I thought I would share this helpful abbreviation list with you I have to refer to it almost daily. :D Thanks everyone, I hope more people respond. We would prefer Christian curriculum. Also it would be helpful if you would not abbreviate so much. I know it's obvious to you what you mean but I am not familiar with all the different abbreviations, ie. MFW, SOTW, etc.
