Pretty in Pink
One of my boys has a birthday coming up and I am drawing a blank on books for him. I'm looking for picture books that we can read together.
TheCoffeeChick
My ds loved a lot of picture books, he still does. His favorites: Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Punk Farm on Tour Click Clack Moo Cows That Type (and Giggle Giggle Quack by the same author) If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Wacky Wednesday Love You Forever Harry the Dirty Dog Happy Birthday Moon Something from Nothing Two of Everything Stone Soup (I linked a version that is different than the one we have on our shelf - we have one with pigs as the main characters by Marilyn Sapienza) Flush! An Ode to Toilets we got this at a signing party at the library and got to see the author read the book. It is hillarious! Anything that has to do with pirates, ancient Egypt or Greece, or superheroes are big hits too.
Jen in PA
My DS loves any of the I Spy types of books, and those have the option of easy readers with just a few objects to find or more complex text and huge pictures to search. I love anything by Jan Brett for that age.

smstjohn
My kids love the Elephant and Piggy series by Mo Willems(the author of the pigeon books). They laugh hard even reading it for the hundreth time! I think the first one we got was "I Will Surprise my Friend", but there are several books in the series and they are great!
