Guest larronsmom
I started out 4 years ago with great zeal to classically educate my 7 year old son. I bought the right stuff, read the right books... Everyone I know hs traditionally (Abeka etc) so my support group wasn't very supportive. To my disgrace I caved. I hate to admit it but consequently my hs experience hasn't gone really well. So, I made an executive decision last week to go back to my heart and do what I know is best for me and my son and resume the classical style of education. My problem is this. I have not one, not two, but three...yes three curriculum. I can use them all to my advantage but I frankly don't know how to switch gears. We are both miserable so this is a MUST do thing. Any suggestions you have would be welcome.:confused:
Chris in VA
Read WTM and get your feet wet with classical one step at a time. You have an 11 yo now? He'd be logic stage. Do you have any of SWB's recommended curriculum resources?
FloridaLisa
Well, a bit more information might help. What exactly is making you miserable right now? Is it a workbook approach, the lock-step of Abeka, the hours you are working? There are many things -- things completely unrelated to classical education -- which might be affecting how your homeschool is going.
