motherdear
I recently posted looking for ideas on vacationsto Gettysburg/Creation Museum (Ohio/Kentucky). We may do a little bit of a turnaround and do a Walt Disney World vacation instead. In an effort to cut corners, I'd like to know if anyone has any knowledge of discount fares, tickets etc. We would stay in the Disney property the entire time (economy lodging), would be flying from Massachusetts to Orlando (direct flight only-wheelchair person considered). We belonged to AAA, DH is a veteran.... Any ideas? Will have to hire personal care attendant (in Orlando area) for handicapped person while down there. Dmmetler
Disney's busses are accessible (but make sure they know when you make your reservations) so you shouldn't need anything extra for transit to get to the resort, and Orlando has paratransit services available on-demand as well as on most of the major bus routes-so consider using public transit if you're going to go anywhere else in the Orlando area. You may find it the best alternative. I'd check with Disney as far as personal care services, because while I know of a couple that my MIL used, they're all more long-term.
