teachermom2834
I was going to make a recipe that calls for a cake mix as the base and figured I could just substitute the gf cake mix for my gf friend. Then I started worrying that there was something else I would need to know about substituting. I do realize that the gf mix is smaller so I planned to adjust for that. Anything else I need to know about swapping out the regular cake mix for the gf one? Thanks. Marie
Mom2J112903
What GF mix are you using and what are you baking? If it has baking soda and/or baking powder in it, you will need to increase it by 50%.
teachermom2834
Thanks. I decided I'm just going to wait for my friend to get here. She knows what she is doing so it is silly for me to be trying to figure it out. I was going to make the honey bun cake recipe from a thread a few weeks ago. I'd link it but I'm not that smart. Thank you for your help!
