Mandy in TN
If you have used Holt Algebra 1 by Schultz, would you please post a review. Actually, if you know anything about this text, would you please post whatever you know. Thanks- Mandy
Jann in TX
I LOVED the author of the Holt series before Shutlz (Nichols) and I LOVE the current author of the Holt series (Dr Burger of Thinkwell). I don't know much about the Shultz text in particular-- I just know that the company did not keep this series around (did not renew the author)... At the time this (Shultz) series was developed Holt was trying to modernize their texts-- and essentially they became VERY VERY busy! I know I absolutely DISLIKE the Geometry text that goes with this (Shultz) text!!! The current texts (Burger) are also BUSY (visally AND conceptually)-- but there are also lots of great supports like the teacher's One Stop Planner and the FREE online video lessons by Dr Burger. Mandy in TN
Thanks, Jann- Do you happen to know the difference between the Holt Alg1 by Burger and the Thinkwell Alg1 by Burger? Mandy

Jann in TX
Thinkwell is more of a supplement with some problems... not enough for most students. Holt is a complete curriculum--again the teacher supplements are awesome--and are a complement to the student text--I would not want to use the student text alone--. The lectures are THE SAME-- Dr Burger is contracted with Holt just as Dr Mosley(Chalkdust) is with Houghton Mifflin to create video lessons for their texts.
