Sarah CB
We're still trying to figure out what to get for ds so that he can do stop-animation movies. Thanks to the posters who helped me out in my last question about it. I really like the look of the Timberdoodle kit, but dh is hoping to get ds something that doesn't always have to be hooked up to the computer to take video so that he can use it for other purposes as well. Dh also likes the idea of less gadgets so he was looking into what the iTouch can do and apparently there's an app for stop-animation. Does anyone have kids who do stop animation with their iTouches? Thanks!
extendedforecast
I would think it would be difficult to keep the ipod/iphone in the same position between takes. There must be something I'm not thinking of. My kids are making a stop animation using my camera on a tripod. We'll see how it comes out. Princess Peach
My DS does stop motion with a camera and tripod. It's really important to keep things still and keep everything the same except for each movement, kwim? After he takes all the pictures, he uploads them to the computer and uses a program to make his movie. There are some great free software downloads out there. Jilly
My daughter is getting the new iPod touch for Christmas. She is going to do stop motion on that. There is the built-in video camera and iMovie software that you can get on it which should be everything he needs to make a stop motion.
