dorothy
I would like to be able to tap into resources available to teachers (entrance to museums, discounts, etc.) and am thinking of making an ID card. Is this K? Has anyone made one before? Any guidelines? Thanks.
freethinkermom
I have not made one, but I keep plan on ordering a pvc one from http://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/homeschool-id/. I do not need it here, but when we drive up to "the city" to go shopping I could use one.
ckweyant
Yes, I have made and laminated a teacher card for myself. However, most places want a paystub to show proof. Thanks, Cassandra
elegantlion
http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/ I used this site to make ID for all of us. My dh gets to be principal ;). While I do carry it, I use the letter from the state to get discounts and such. We have to file a letter of intent each year and they send a "receipt" type letter in return. K&Rs Mom
I just made them for dh & myself on the computer, and got them laminated at Office Max. I have used it as "proof" to join the teacher clubs of Barnes & Noble, Office Max, Staples. I think it depends on who you are actually dealing with that day, whether they'll accept whatever form of ID. If your state requires any record-keeping, you probably have some sort of government form that is more official. We don't so this has worked for us.
