fairfarmhand
I was at TSC last night and I saw some woodstoves. The cost of the stove was about 800 dollars but the sign said you could get a $1500 tax credit when you bought it. Has anyone else done this? It sounds too good to be true. Yes, last year I claimed the tax credit with our stove. Our stove was only $800, so that is how much of a credit I got. I also claimed the tax credit for new energy efficient windows we had installed. It's all part of some energy credit you can claim now:) good luck, lisa
DawnM
You can only get credit for the amount you spend. It should read, "UP to $1500." We got $1500 tax credit on our $5,000 heat pump. Dawn
