Carolyn in Ohio
Wasn't someone doing this? How did you do this? I would guess TOG mostly for History and Omnibus for Lit/Theology? Which year plan and Omnibus volume have you combined? thanks in advance Carolyn
Michelle in MO
think TOG and Omnibus together might be overwhelming for a student. I've honestly never tried, but we've done part of Omnibus and have found it to be plenty all by itself. Hopefully someone else who has tried to combine the two would be able to comment. It just seems like TOG is already a very complete program, and so is Omnibus.
Michelle in AL
:iagree: I've done one year of TOG, which was thorough and I can't imagine doing more than Omnibus.
Carol in Cal.
OK, maybe not JUST wow. The most overwhelming, bar none, curricula that I know of are TOG and Omnibus. To even COMTEMPLATE doing both is pretty much beyond me. Wow.
cajun.classical
Wasn't someone doing this? How did you do this? I would guess TOG mostly for History and Omnibus for Lit/Theology? Which year plan and Omnibus volume have you combined? thanks in advance Carolyn Karenciavo did this. Maybe she'll link an earlier post about how she combined them. She combined Omnibus I with TOG and took 2 years to go through it, I think. And yes, she like TOG for history and Omnibus for Lit/Theology. This was TOG classic, which she felt was lacking in the lit department.
Carolyn in Ohio
Ok - using Omnibus with TOG classic I get. I have redesigned year 2 for next year and, yes, I think it looks plenty rigorous. The Omnibus book is so pretty, though, isn't it? thanks all Carolyn
Julie in GA
Karen Ciavo has done this. If she doesn't respond, I'll look up the post I saved from her last year and try to help you out. I use Omnibus, but not TOG, so can't personally help you.
