A big plus for this restricted diet

That's wonderful! I have had some small success lately by doing the following:

 

adding no sweetener to long-cooking oatmeal. I add diced apple and nuts to it.

 

cutting my coffee sugar to one tsp instead of 2 and using whole milk instead of 1/2 and 1/2

 

eating 1/2 cup egg whites with a lot of steamed spinach and a side of plain yogurt with a packet of truvia and some ground flax seed

 

eating almonds as a snack

 

nearly completely cutting out dessert

 

I think cutting the carbs has really helped me. I try eating far more veggies and meat than carbs at dinner.
