Jamee
Has anyone cross-referenced these books to see how they go together/match up? I'm thinking of taking on the task to some degree, but don't want to reinvent the wheel. ETA: how about between SOTW 2 and History of the Medieval World? Melissa in Australia
They match up pretty closely. I have my older two using HOAW and the younger ones using SOTW1 last year. they were very close, sometimes the older ones were a little ahead on the timeline, and sometimes the younger ones. this year we did the middle ages, and it was very similar, though SOTW2 seems to finish later in history. the younger ones did 1 chapter a week on SOTW, the older ones did 2-3 chapters a week of HOAW
Jamee
Thanks! That's good to know. I just started this project and I've found some match-up. It's probably not helping that I'm starting in the middle where I'm at in SOTW. Which book is your 12 year old using?
Melissa in Australia
my ds12 is doing SOTW middle ages with his younger siblings, we are almost finished, the school year goes from Jan to Dec in Australia. he is doing it for the second time. I just cannot do three different history levels at the same time. so the logic stage kids just have to do the extras recommended in WTM.
