Chris in VA
Dd is reading a fun book I wanted to recommend-- The Missing Golden Tickets And Other Splendiferous Secrets. It's a book about Roald Dahl's other drafts of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. Really fun! (Did you know there are 10 children, instead of 5, in the first draft of Charlie?) NanceXToo
Do you mean it's like an alternative draft of the story that is still fictional? Or more of an informational thing as to what the book might have been like?
Chris in VA
Dd was reading to me out of it tonight--she gave me a quiz about the Charlie book (which I, proudly, did quite well on, TGVM! lol). It's a book of interesting Roald Dahl facts, and includes a "missing chapter" which was just edited out of the final version of Charlie. A fairly slim paperback, it's quite interesting for fans of RD.
Mothersweets
Oooh, sounds good! We love Roald Dahl at our house.
