ProudGrandma
should I start a writing program with my kids?? And which one do you recommend...I have heard of so many...but they are all different...we have a solid grammar and spelling program...so I am not real interested in a program that has that included...just a writing one. thanks. tjarnold
I'd probably start some kind of writing in 1st or 2nd grade, but you could wait if you'd like. How old are your children? Tiffany
angela in ohio
IEW, 3rd grade That's my general recommendation. Before 3rd grade, I recommend copywork and narration, along with phonics/spelling and reading great literature. My second choice would be to follow SWB's writing program all the way through. tjarnold
We've been using it for years, but I do plan to check out Writing With Ease for possible use with my youngest. Tiffany

RUN...don't walk to the Peace Hill Press site...and buy SWB's writing MP3's. She lays it all out in such a simplistic way. I wish these audios existed 15 years ago...and before I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars of writing programs. Faithe

Lori in MS
Get A plan for Teaching Writing starting with the grammar stage. You can start Writing With Ease in 1st or 2nd grade. Maybe when you complete those Writing with Skill will be available (SWB's logic stage writing course).
