keptwoman
I started Life Science with DD this week, and the reading went pretty much over her head, and she had no clue on most of the questions. I persevered, and I will persevere for another couple of weeks to see if it improves. Do you think that this should be used for an older child? What is a reasonable cost alternative? elise1mds
I love it for my son, who is 7, almost 8. To be fair, though, he is advanced in science. He's Asperger's and science is his 'thing,' so he has been reading nonfiction science books since he could decode the word 'bug.'
keptwoman
Oh dear, I just realised I put this on the wrong board. Sorry :( But thanks for the answers so far :)
Mrs Mungo
I used it with younger kids. BUT, I supplemented it. A great, easy resource is brainpop. When it talks about biomes in the science? There is a brainpop video about biomes. Discovery education is another good resource, but I think it's available only in the US.
mcconnellboys
I used it with a fifth grader as review and thought it was fine. I think some of the vocab would certainly be challenging for a first or second grader.
Mom-ninja.
I'm looking for something for my 9 yr old. I purchased MPH 3/4 and it is way too easy for him. So I'm on the hunt. I wonder if this would be a good fit.

Yes, it's the vocab we are having a tough time with. I'm looking for something for my 9 yr old. I purchased MPH 3/4 and it is way too easy for him. So I'm on the hunt. I wonder if this would be a good fit. I think that's probably about the age where it would fit well.
