DarcyB
Sorry - we just thought this was the coolest idea to go along with our Apologia Human Anatomy project, and Aiden's so proud of it! It really helped bring our lesson alive to have a full-sized mock up for him about what his insides look like. Next, we add all the guts!!!! You can get all the details on my blog on how we created it.

NanceXToo
That's awesome! I love it! With my Kindergartener, for Health, we're doing a chapter on "My Wonderful Body" this month. The topic we're currently covering is "My Body Parts." It doesn't really focus on the inside of the body (other than to say, for example, how skin protects it, and we must protect our skin)... but we also traced his body and hung it up and he helped me label body parts. Something like this would be a neat way of demonstrating how much more there is to a body than what you see! Love it!

Photo Ninja
Cute! He looks proud! When my dc were young we did something similar. I traced my ds and we hung it up, then added the cut out bones, like you have, onto the body tracing. Then as we learned about the brain, muscles and organs, we added them. He was so proud of it, and we had to leave it up for many months after we finished our study because my dc were attached to it. My ds liked seeing what was inside him. Alphabetika
Oh my goodness. There he is with his stuffed cat and his skeleton on the wall. Mr. Cuteness! P.S. If my oldest dd had been a boy, her name would have been Aiden.:)
RoughCollie
Your DS is adorable and his project is wonderful. I bet he's looking forward to adding the guts. I wish my sons were little again. I would do those years over in a heartbeat.
