snipsnsnailsx5
Hello! I want to start my boys on some beginning keyboard/typing skills. I know I didn't take keyboarding until 9th grade in public school. However, I'd like to at least start my boys on some beginning lessons. One co-op class I want to sign my 3rd grader up for next year (so 4th grade next year) requires some basic keyboarding knowledge...basically not hunt and peck because there will be computer use and typing, and it will be hard to keep up if the child is hunting and pecking everything. It be best if I could even find just some information or free links on how to introduce keyboarding to a younger child? Thanks!!

angelak
One free resource is http://www.typing-lessons.org/ I haven't spent alot of time with it, but it looks like a good start. Angela
Matryoshka
For a free intro, BBC's Dance Mat Typing is great and fun. Once we finished that, we used Typing Instructor for Kids to increase speed and accuracy.
