Mallory
It will just keep running and running, if I don't skip it past the part of the wash cycle where it gets stuck it will literally run forever. Do I need a new dishwasher? Should I just keep setting the timer an moving it ahead? Something eles? What should I do? Feeling a little worried that I a. never come to the general board b. have no reason to expect that anyone here can even help me and c. you are all still the first people I thought to ask:001_huh:
Melissa in Australia
My dishwasher does this if I have it set to the highest temperature . If I have it at the lower temperature it works beautifully. My husband replaced the timer, and it still had the problem. I am actually thinking it has a thermostat problem, and isn't "reading that it has got to the right temperature, so it keeps on washing, and never moves on. Melissa in Australia
I forgot to add that my dishwasher is an Asko, and I have had it for 10 years.
DarlaS
When mine did this, it needed a new timer. It was about $125 part for a $400 dishwasher so we did replace it. Your dishwasher's 10 years old though. I might start thinking about a new one.
Mallory
It does seem to work if I turn the temp down. Hooray, I guess I wasn't crazy for wanting to ask here ;)
