s/o tooth fairy

Recommended Posts

I throw them away. To me, teeth are like hair -- it's good if it's attached and gross if it isn't.

We give each of our girls a bracelet with a charm to represent each lost tooth -- so it doesn't seem so terrible to throw their tooth away. Still trying to figure out what to do with the boy.

We used to have them under pillows, but my kids are such night owls, it didn't work very well. DC's g-gma gave us a book about tooth traditions around the world, and one of them is to set it in a water glass on the kitchen counter (or whatever) and the tooth fairy takes it and leaves the $ in its place. This is what we now do, as DH and I can do it when we go to bed, and not worry about waiting for them to go to sleep or awakening them with pillow disturbance. ;)

ETA: afterwards we toss the tooth. :D
