Shelly in IL
He went to youthgroup tonight - the same one that he went on retreat with that made him want to switch gears! He came home tonight much happier about his decision to homeschool. Perhaps it made him reexamine why it was he wanted to homeschool highschool in the first place. He told kids that he would rather be traveling the world with his family than sitting behind a desk. It actually made him sound cool and got respect for his decision. First trip - Williamsburg. Homeschool days in Sept. Anyone going towards the end of the month? Here comes a new homeschooling Freshman!!
Jean in Newcastle
Great! I'm glad that he's finding peace in the decision.
Peela
That really makes sense. My teens have realised how cool homeschooling is and their schooled friends envy them too. It helps them hang in there when sometimes school seems like more fun.
