Joanne
This will be for an extra credit option. Any ideas with discussion questions already developed would be a bonus.:D:) The time frame is early America through Reconstruction. My setting is a non-sectarian school, diversity exists. This is an 11th grade class, with a sprinkle of sophomores and seniors.
Cinder
Right now the only movie I can think of is Glory. Don't know about discussion resources, though. At least you'll get a bump. :001_smile: Cinder
AuntieM
Don't know if you'd find this appropriate for your class, but The Patriot comes to mind. Also, it's been a long time since I've seen it but you might want to investigate The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. I cannot remember if that's more historical or more just dramatic. I seem to remember some school tie-ins at some point. HTH

Cinder
Maybe you can glean titles from Paula's Archives? Cinder
