fastforward
Has anyone here used Word Wisdom published by Zaner Bloser? http://shop.zaner-bloser.com/c-217-word-wisdom.aspx I'm looking to use Level C with my 3rd grader as an alternative to Megawords. I wanted to do both, but it would make for extra stress on my daughter, who is a natural speller who needs more vocabulary work. Any thoughts about this book would be appreciated! MarinesWife
We used it this past year. It's alright. It has a huge focus on the student trying to figure out the meaning of the word based on the sentence around it - or rather what is happening in the story. She looked up the actual definitions also. I was going to use it again but then I started looking at vocabulary that focuses on knowing the roots of words. Word Wisdom has some of that but it is not the focus. So we're switching. fastforward
Wow, thanks for sharing your experience with WW. I appreciate it. Would you mind telling me what you are switching to for vocabulary?
