Jean in Newcastle
Millet Crunch 3 c. puffed millet cereal (or puffed rice or anything else puffed up!;)) 1 c. sunflower seeds (or pine nuts, or any other kind of nut) 1 tbs. oil of your choice 1/3 c. honey additions like 1/4 c. chopped fruit or coconut if you want (I haven't done this but I think it would work!) Spread in shallow baking pan or cookie sheet with sides. Put in 275 degree oven for 30 min. Cool. (It can really stick to the pan so you might want to spray the pan with Pam or something like that) Store in air-tight container if it lasts that long! My whole family loves it! apond
Thanks for sharing this. It sounds great. With a DH, and to DC needing gluten free I am always looking for snacks. Annmarie
Needleroozer
I make this all the time, and you an throw anything in there. If you add sesame seeds (obviously if you can have them) you can add a ton of calcium, too.
