Looking for options, I decided to pick up a few Horrible Geography and Science books. Surprisingly, they're full of great information. I'm starting to think I can create an entire year's worth of science/geography just using these books along with a few libarary books. My 8 yr old and I have been reading them... and aren't currently doing any other formal science... but I wouldn't really call it a program.
