DragonFaerie
I am looking for something like Time4Learning but with two kids (grades 2 and 3), I'm trying to avoid the $35 per month that T4L costs. I'd like something the kids can log on and do on their own, fairly comprehensive but it will be supplemental to my other plans. I've looked at Study Island (not free!) and it's okay except that it doesn't provide any instruction, just testing. Can anybody suggest something that has lessons the kids can work through followed by questions/quizzes, etc.? Thanks!
DawnM
I don't know how independently your children can do this, but this one is free: http://www.lessonpathways.com/
JenninMN
Here are a couple of free sites that I like. LA Grade 2: http://harcourtschool.com/menus/trophies/grade_2.html LA Grade 3: http://harcourtschool.com/menus/trophies/grade_3.html Math Grade 2: http://www.mhschool.com/math/2009/ca/student/grade2/index.html Math Grade 3: http://www.mhschool.com/math/2009/ca/student/grade3/index.html Math has lessons, games, and quizzes. The quiz results can be emailed to you. HTH, Jennifer
DragonFaerie
Thanks, everyone. Unfortunately, these aren't really what I'm looking for. I'm thinking hoping for free is too much to ask. :-(
Aconnolley
I don't know what ages your kids are, but if you have one just learning to read, Starfall.com is great and free! Unfortunately, we are nearly past that stage around here. http://www.starfall.com We use beestar.org for a math supplement. It is not quite like Time4Learning, but it is good practice for standardized testing which we have to do every year. My kids like Time4Learning, but I have to do a lot of supplementing to make it work for us. I hope that maybe someone knows of a site that I haven't found yet that is free!
