LNC
8th-Algebra 9th-Geometry 10th-Algebra 2 11th- Precalculus 12- Calculus Is that right??? WTM says 11th-Trig and 12-Precalc. I thought Precalc included Trig so my children can make it to Calc by 12th. Anyone know?
kiana
If you look at the chapters outlines and subheadings Chapter P of trig is essentially the topics from chapter 1 of precalc, mixed up and in a different order Chapter 1 of trig is chapter 4 of precalc Chapter 2 of trig is chapter 5 of precalc Chapter 3 of trig is almost chapter 6 of precalc, but a topic is missing in the trig book -- trigonometric form of a complex number Chapter 4 of trig is a couple of topics from chapter 2 of precalc and the missing part of chapter 6 Chapter 5 of trig is chapter 3 of precalc Chapter 6 of trig is chapter 9 of precalc As you can see, the trigonometry book is basically SOME of the chapters from the precalc book. I wouldn't do trig and then precalc for this reason.
KnitWit
That is the sequence we have followed.

plansrme
I have asked Dana Mosley this exact question. He says CD's Trig is for the student who will not need calculus in college; it is pre-calculus "light," in other words. So yeah, what everyone else said.
