Teachin'Mine
Great input in the thread on what makes a good impression. My question is, how do we teach these things. I know ideally it would be through good example, but I need something more concrete. Any book that you've found that helps? Anything available with visual aids - like a DVD to back up the info in the book?
Jean in Newcastle
Dale Carnegies "How to Win friends and Influence People" is still applicable today.
OrganicAnn
I'd say make a list. Teach/emphasize one thing at a time. So don't jump in with 20 different new rules on manners. Be a good roll model. Recognize good behavior. Be consistent.

RoughCollie
Dale Carnegies "How to Win friends and Influence People" is still applicable today. My kids and I are in the midst of reading that book. Even though they are teens, I am reading it aloud and we discuss it afterward. Next: A nice, thick Emily Post book on etiquette. They will love that one, especially the boys. :D
