creekmom
I don't want to turn Bible study into a chore- so I'm looking for something that requires him to dig a little deeper but not so much that he dreads it. Any suggestions??
sandra in va
We've used Explorer's Bible studies for that age level and it has worked pretty well. It is very independent. (I wish I was better at having weekly discussions to check what they are learning!) I think we used Discovery up through 6th or 7th and then switched to Quest. It does take a long time to do - I don't know if we've ever completely finished a book. The kids seem to enjoy them. hth!
Narrow Gate Academy
My rising 6th grader enjoys the Kay Arthur Discover 4 Yourself series. This fall we're going to try Hidden Treasures in Philippians. It looks similar to the Arthur books but lasts 12 weeks. HTH
