mom2agang
Can I get your thoughts on it?
Guest mrsjamiesouth
We used it for 3rd Grade, the Elementary book. I thought it was too light, but one of the mom's at co-op told me that she was super impressed with my son's copy skills. They were in a class where the mom asked them to copy what she wrote on the board, and my son did it perfectly in 2 minutes. It took the other boys a long time and some could not do it. HollyDay
I use it as a supplement to another program. I do think it is too light as a stand alone. But, the approach is usually different from a "traditional" LA program, so it makes the dc think a little bit differently. THere is a ton of copy work and we do not do it all. Both my dc improved their handwriting and their speed by doing the copywork. The picture analysis has been my favorite.
shinyhappypeople
I have Language Lessons for the Very Young and will be using it with 7 yo DD for the upcoming school year. I like the looks of it. There's a lot of copywork and a bit of grammar. The lessons are very short, so I'll probably end up combining 2 or 3 lessons as needed.
